I attended church as a child and my early teens. My faith and church attendance hit a rough patch in my high school years. I got pregnant with my oldest son at 19. He was such a blessing from God not just because I was told I couldn’t have children but because he gave me purpose. This was my first time I stepped back into my church (Grace Baptist, Now called 1025 Church) I was a teen, single, pregnant and scared of what my future held. He once again showed me what Faith, good people and church family can do to give you a positive life. I then met my husband through mutual friends in 2012. We began dating in 2013 and have been together ever since. God once again showed out by bringing this man in my life. He has been a father to my oldest son since day one and then we brought our youngest son into the world, another blessing from God. To be honest, my church attendance slipped and I was only praying when I needed something. It wasn’t until Jan 2 2021 that my life became more reliant on my Faith and Gods plan for me. We attended church multiple times a week, volunteered at events and attended every function available. My burdens quickly became lifted and I felt so much peace, which is something I never thought I could have with my situation at hand. 1025 Church is my family, the people there really saved me in times I was drowning. My Faith and my family’s Faith has grown so strong! God is going to get us through this chapter and use me and my story for something BIG!
Jeremiah 29: 11-14
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. 12 then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. 14 I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back from captivity.[a] I will gather you from all the nations and places where I have banished you,” declares the Lord, “and will bring you back to the place from which I carried you into exile.”
Psalm 23
1 The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, 3 he restores my soul. He guides me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, [1] I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.
2 Timothy 2: 8-13
8 Remember Jesus Christ, raised from the dead, descended from David. This is my gospel, 9 for which I am suffering even to the point of being chained like a criminal. But God’s word is not chained. 10 Therefore I endure everything for the sake of the elect, that they too may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus, with eternal glory.
11 Here is a trustworthy saying:
If we died with him,
we will also live with him;
12
if we endure,
we will also reign with him.
If we disown him,
he will also disown us;
13
if we are faithless,
he remains faithful,
for he cannot disown himself.
Romans 8: 28
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who[a] have been called according to his purpose.
John 8: 1-11
1 but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.
2 At dawn he appeared again in the temple courts, where all the people gathered around him, and he sat down to teach them. 3 The teachers of the law and the Pharisees brought in a woman caught in adultery. They made her stand before the group 4 and said to Jesus, “Teacher, this woman was caught in the act of adultery. 5 In the Law Moses commanded us to stone such women. Now what do you say?” 6 They were using this question as a trap, in order to have a basis for accusing him.
But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. 7 When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, “Let any one of you who is without sin be the first to throw a stone at her.” 8 Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground.
9 At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. 10 Jesus straightened up and asked her, “Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?”
11 “No one, sir,” she said.
“Then neither do I condemn you,” Jesus declared. “Go now and leave your life of sin.”
